J&K Highcourt Recruitment Selection Criteria

It is notified for the information of all concerned that the following criteria is laid down

for selection of candidates against the posts of counselors advertised by this office

vide Notification 03 Dated 26.06.2020:

Written Test of 75 Marks:

There shall be online computer based objective type written test of 75 questions, each

question of 01 mark, and shall be of 90 minutes duration.

Pattern of question paper shall be as under:

The Question paper shall comprise of five Parts of the following description:

Part-I:         30 Questions related to the domain subjects = 30 marks.

Part-II: 15 Questions related to General English          = 15 marks.

Part-Ill: 10 Questions related to the Current Affairs      = 10 marks.

Part-IV: 10 Questions related to Aptitude                   = 10 marks.

Part-V: 10 Questions related to Elementary Knowledge of Computers =10 marks.

Syllabus for the Written Test:

Part-I shall contain 30 questions related to domain subjects of PG level equally

distributed among the subjects of Social Science, Social Welfare, Sociology,

Clinical Psychiatry, Psychology and Philosophy.

Part-II  shall contain 15 questions of general English related to the grammar with

special focus on Articles, Verbs, Tenses, Prepositions, Voice, Synonyms,

Antonyms or Punctuations etc., and factual understanding of events, dates,

people, idioms or phrases etc.

Part-III shall contain 10 questions related to the current affairs.

Part-IV shall contain 10 questions related to the aptitude towards marriage

institutions, skills of reconciliation and child custody.

Part-V shall contain 10 questions related to the knowledge of basic concept about

computer systems.

Viva-Voce – 20 marks

Candidates shall be called for interview / viva-voce on their performance/merit in the

written test in the ratio of 1:10.

There shall be five marks of experience:

The five marks for the experience which shall be assigned in the following manner:

FOR ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE 01 MARK
FOR TWO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 02 MARKS
FOR THREE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 03 MARKS  
FOR FOUR YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 04 MARKS
FOR FIVE YEARS OR ABOVE EXPERIENCE 05 MARKS
